User scenario

Bibi is a senior at the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences and is in the midst of writing her thesis. She needs specific information on ‘opsporingsambtenaren’, she searches for articles or books but can’t seem to find what she really is looking for. She gets a notification of search terms that are related to ‘opsporingsambtenaren’. She chooses another word and she gets another set of articles and books to look at. Bibi finds exactly what she was looking for thanks to the suggestion on the website.

Redesign

The project: Interaction was all about user research and evidence based design. I needed to find something on the website that I could redesign and make better for the user. I found out that seniors have a hard time finding useful research and get stuck while their mind go ‘blank’. That’s why introducing a suggestions button will help the senior students when they don’t know where to begin to look for certain information.

Problem statement

Thesis writing students from the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences (Hogeschool van Amsterdam) have a hard time looking for useful research that they can use. It usually takes them hours to find just a couple of paragraphs.
